Before you get behind the wheel, register with a reputable driving school that can guide you through all the steps involved in obtaining your driving license.

For driver's license

Required documents :

  • Recent passport photo (front view), size 45 x 35 mm
  • Recent medical certificate (less than 3 months old)
  • Copy of both sides of a valid identity document
  • A recent police record if the applicant is of age at the time of application
  • Recent police record from country of origin if resident in Luxembourg for less than 5 years

If you are a minor :

  • Application signed by parent/guardian
  • Copy of both sides of parent's/guardian's identity card

For accompanied driving

Additional documents required:

  • Proof of an insurance policy valid for the entire duration of the apprenticeship, bearing your name and the name of the accompanying person.
  • Copy of both sides of a valid ID card for the accompanying person
  • Copy of accompanying driver's license
